We offer a one-stop-service to promote international projects of technology transfer, joint research, creation of venture businesses, etc.
Ritsumeikan University welcomes partners from any country to form alliances that make a contribution to the society through research interaction, technology transfer, and support to venture businesses that utilize the intellectual assets of the university.
Plan
Utilization of intellectual resources of the university
Research Project Planning, Application and Management
By forming a team between various companies and the university, as stated in the plan of “Regional Rebirth Consortium” of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), we conduct research projects planning, application and management of official Research and Development projects
Commissioned Research
We conduct researches on subjects commissioned by private companies or official research organizations.
Joint Research
We conduct researches by receiving joint researchers of private companies or official research organizations.
Technical guidance
On a payment-basis, we give technical guidance to researchers from private companies of official research organizations.
Intellectual Property Licensing
By using the intellectual property, patents and licensing agreements, we give licenses to private companies.
Utilization of research facilities of the university
Rental laboratories
By building the “Industry-Academia Collaboration Laboratory” facility inside the campus, we rent laboratories for companies conducting research activities in areas closely related to those conducted at the university laboratories.
Incubation Facilities
By building the Venture Incubator facility inside the campus, we offer support to university start-ups from the technical and administrative point of view.
SR Center facility utilization
We rent the equipment installed in the Synchrotron Radiation Center.
Cooperation to University research・Training of human resources
Endowed Research Projects・Endowed Chairs
We administer research projects・start of new courses, depending on donations coming from private companies, etc. The project or seminar is entitled with the name of the donor, and we also hire a Chair Professor externally.
Grants and endowments
We accept grants and endowments aimed at education and research, for the education - research organizations and individual teaching staff of this university.
